The Central Adoption
Resource Agency (CARA) is an Autonomous Body under the
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment , Government. This
agency ensure that both Indian and foreign agencies involved
in inter country adoption of Indian children, functions within
a prescribed framework or not. They see wheather such children
are adopted legally through recognized agencies and no
exploitation takes place.
